Mission

The mission of FIRST Wisconsin is to grow and sustain high-quality FIRST programs across Wisconsin in collaboration with schools, sponsors, and industry partners. We create pathways that prepare youth to become workforce-ready by combining experiential learning, mentorship, and intense competitions.

FIRST Wisconsin Values

  • Inclusivity & Accessibility | We ensure every student in Wisconsin has the opportunity to participate in FIRST Robotics, regardless of their background, school, or financial situation. We actively remove barriers and build new pathways so that FIRST is available and welcoming to all.

  • Gracious Professionalism | We conduct ourselves with the highest standards of integrity, respect, and kindness. We champion the success of others and treat every member of our community—from students and mentors to volunteers and partners—with dignity. This value guides every interaction and decision we make.

  • Stewardship | We are responsible stewards of the trust and resources placed in our care. We manage every donation, hour of volunteer time, and grant dollar with transparency and purpose, ensuring they are used efficiently to maximize our impact on students and teams across Wisconsin.

  • Community Collaboration | We believe our mission is a shared one. We actively seek out and build strong partnerships with schools, businesses, and community organizations. By working together, we create a powerful network that supports and expands FIRST Robotics, building a stronger ecosystem for everyone.

  • Delivering Excellence | We are dedicated to delivering the highest quality programs and support. From our operational processes to the resources we provide teams, we strive for excellence in everything we do. Our commitment is to provide the best possible experience and outcomes for the students, mentors, and volunteers we serve.
